Investment Areas:
New therapeutics, synthetic biology, and digital health
Qing’s first career was in the medical field, because she is passionate about helping people. When Qing started her career in venture capital in Silicon Valley, she fell in love with company-building and venture creation. At LDV Partners, Qing is pursuing both passions by partnering with entrepreneurs to build great healthcare companies.
Qing focuses on digital healthcare, biotech therapeutics, life science tools, and synthetic biology. She splits her time between Silicon Valley and Boston. Qing has been involved in over thirty private financings, three public offerings, and one venture creation company.
During the pandemic, Qing immersed herself fully in entrepreneurship and gained invaluable firsthand experience as a CXO, navigating a complex and fast-changing environment. Having experience on both sides of the table gives Qing invaluable insight into corporate strategy, financing, talent management, and board governance. Qing’s operating experience allows her to take on operating responsibilities at portfolio companies if needed.
Prior to entering industry, Qing served as a physician at Singapore General Hospital. Qing completed a pre-med program in Biosciences and Biotechnology at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University and proceeded to earn an M.D. from Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) of Tsinghua with distinction. She did her clinical rotations at PUMC & Brigham and Women’s Hospital and her research training at Meyerson Lab of Broad Institute. She earned her MBA from Columbia Business School, where she is active in CWiB and CSIMA (Columbia’s Student Investment Management Association).
